“ Windmills of your mind” from the Thomas Crown Affair. And I agree with spiraling conversations you have to tell yourself, “ Oh yeah, this is the same problem, nothing new.” And it feels good!

I thought your poem was excellent. I hope to one day write a circle poem. I also liked

"I did it without talking about ripples, though, you may remember, ripples are my favorite metaphor"

The first circle song that popped into my head was Soul Coughing's "Circles." Anymore, it reminds me of my dog. He's everything you could ever ask for, but well, let's just say he's not a Mensa candidate.

As for arguments w/your kids? I'm with you; I have the same couple with each of my kids. Could be worse, I guess?

Way worse!! I’ve been thinking a lot about how kids present their own personality so early! It just takes awhile to see that they’ve always been this person! And omg I totally forgot about that song! I love that that song is recognizable somewhere deep in my brain and ready to be seen!! Haha.
