That was some stinking magic. I believe I read it 3-4 times and got more each time. Probably could go at it once a year from now on. It's really got the magic.
Jodie you ALWAYS have a way with words, when I read what you write, it always make me smile, laugh, or think! How has my baby graduated! I know I have flooded the FB post! Love the cruise director comparison made me chuckle. Somehow I totally envision you in the woods hiking and the Kona Ice truck magically appearing! If the kids now only had Mr Softee! Love you so much!
So much excitement but so many emotions! You grew a whole person, Kari! And now we'll have to think of extending the cruise ship metaphor - is he on his own cruise now? Or are you the mothership as he goes out on excursions? Ha! Proud of you! Thanks for the kind words!
I have a senior graduating, and I am 100% not ready. Not literally, not in any kind of metaphorical sense, not anything. It's wild spending nine months full of last times. Last home game, last homecoming, etc.
And the grad parties just kicked off. Our first one was today. One of my friends (no one told me parents were expected at all these!) joked that it was our warm up event before hitting the circuit.
Oh my goodness! I'm not even ready to spend a year getting ready for senior year! No way I'll be ready! Well, I wish you the best of luck. And eat a lot of barbecue and brush up your small talk! Like I said... shwew. I'm bracing myself.

Thank you so much for your kind comments!!
I love peonies as much as you! Your poem captures that love beautifully.
Your comments about summer are so true. Try to schedule that down time for yourself, if not for your not-so-little munchkins! God bless!
We'll try! Adventures and down time. It's a balance! Viva boredom! Hope you have a great summer!
Nice poetry. Loved it.
That a beautiful peony and poem!

Lol. Thanks! I am so terrible at small talk. Gonna be a rough couple of weeks.
